About the role
We are looking for an International Account Director to support, nurture and develop a team of international account, senior account and business development executives to deliver client and business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Working with the Director, Sales to develop and implement the international sales strategy that will meet the growing needs of the business.
- Responsible for demonstrable execution of the international sales strategy.
- Working with the Commercial Operations Manager to ensure the International Sales team have adequate resources, tools and training to be successful in their role. Aligning this with the UK Sales team where applicable.
- Act as lead with our largest customers outside of the UK– lead by example in approach, showcasing what good relationship building can do
- Lead, develop, manage and motivate employees to provide best in class customer service, advice and to deliver commercial targets
- Working with the Director, Sales – Develop the Sales and Account Management function, its resources and outputs to meet the growth needs of the business and our clients, ensuring value and return on investment.
- Proactively develops relationships with internal stakeholders to improve collaboration and strengthen relationships.
- Ensures adherence of the sales process, forecasting and pipeline management. Regular reporting of team and individual progress.
- Maintains a detailed awareness of relevant market trends affecting accounts and developments in the industry and our competitors
- Represent the business at meetings, conferences and events globally – operationally or as a senior lead where required.
Essential Experience/Skills
- Proven experience in managing large accounts in a publisher, sass or agency (highly desirable)
- Experience of scheduling/selling marketing campaigns (agency or media side)
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Inspires trust with colleagues.
- Experience coaching, mentoring or managing (highly desirable but we welcome applicants looking to take a step up)
- Excellent time and project management skills
- Resourceful – quick to take the initiative and find answers to difficult questions
- Inquisitive – eager to learn and naturally curious.
- Takes pride in their work; not afraid to get hands dirty and put in the time needed to make sure the job is done
- Experience working with a cross functional environment to get the job done.
- Worked in international higher education (highly desirable)

Salary : £50k OTE (plus uncapped overhit)
